PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel multiplex chopper in which current unbalance correction control can be carried out without performing current detection of individual unit choppers. SOLUTION: The parallel multiplex chopper comprises N (an integer of 2 or above) unit choppers connected in parallel with a common DC power supply 1 and its duty factor is controlled by an on/off command from a control section 3, a reactor 4 provided on each output side of the unit chopper and its output is connected with a common load 5, and a current detector 6 for detecting the input current of the load. The control section comprises a current control means 21 for making the input current follow up a current command value and outputting an average duty factor reference, an unbalance correction operating means for correcting the average duty factor reference such that the currents of respective unit choppers are balanced, and a means for outputting the gate signal of the unit chopper by comparing the duty factor reference corrected for each unit chopper with a carrier signal 25 for unit chopper.
