PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistance type humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer and a process for production of its composition. SOLUTION: The main ion electroconductive unit has a humidity-sensing dissociated group and a reactive double chain and a copolymerization reaction unit has a reactive functional group and the reactive double chain, the reactive double chain of the ion electroconductive unit forms the humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer through the copolymerization reaction of the copolymerization reaction unit and the reactive double chain. The humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer has the humidity-sensing dissociated group and a reactive functional group, utilizes the reactive functional group of a cross linking conjunctive agent to cause a cross linking conjunctive reaction of neighboring reactive functional groups of the humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer, to thereby bind some chain cross conjunctive structures of the humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer having a humidity-sensing dissociated group. The method for production of its composition can stimulate formation of cross conjunctive structure on the humidity-sensing macromolecular copolymer chain, correspond to requirements for the water resistance from the commercial view points or further utilize the penetrating IPN structure, to thereby improve the water resistance of the product and reliability on the humidity sensing.
