PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to prevent an electrical short in a light emitting cell due to a metal etching byproduct by preventing the metal etching byproduct. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light emitting cells(LS1,LS2) are separated on the upper side of a support substrate(151). A light emitting cell includes an n type upper semiconductor layer(125a), an active layer(127a), and a p type lower semiconductor layer(129a). P-electrodes(E1,E2) are positioned between the substrate and the light emitting cells. The p-electrodes include a reflective layer(133a,133b) and a protection metal layer(135a,135b). An etch stopping layer(131) is positioned between p-electrodes and light emitting cells. The side insulation layer covers the side of the light emitting cells. |
