A tourmaline ceramic catalyst and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the performance of the tourmaline ceramic catalyst, by manufacturing the tourmaline ceramic catalyst using pure tourmaline powder instead of a mixture of tourmaline powder and clay. A tourmaline ceramic catalyst is manufactured by forming a molding product using a mixture of pure dravite tourmaline powder and 6 wt% of water, and reduction-hardening the molding product at a temperature of 1,100-1,150 for 72 hours. Elbaite tourmaline powder or schorl tourmaline powder is substituted for the dravite tourmaline powder. The tourmaline ceramic catalyst is formed in a spherical shape, a cylindrical shape, a disk shape, or a board shape. |
