<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter power supply device capable of keeping a device output in a stable state, even if a half-wave rectification load is connected as a load. <P>SOLUTION: In the inverter power supply device, a switching means 3 can switch power feed between power feed to a load 4 by an inverter 2 and direct power feed to the load 4 by an AC power supply 1. In the device, if the effective value of a load current or the instantaneous value of an inverter current, each exceeds overcurrent determination value, the switching means 3 switches the power feed, from the power feed by the inverter 2 to the direct power feed. The device is provided with comparison means 9, 11 for determining that the effective value and instantaneous value of a load current have become the overcurrent restoration determination value at the direct power supplying, and a logical AND operation means 13.
