A welding direction control device of a strip is provided to prevent an equipment accident by effectively preventing fracture of welding part of the strip during operation of a cold line. A welding direction control device of a strip comprises a first detection part(10) including a plurality of overhead projectors and receptors arranged in both side corner of a preceding strip(Sa) in order to detect a backend straight line condition of the preceding strip; a second detection unit(30) including a plurality of overhead projectors and receptors arranged in both sides corner of a latter strip(Sb) in order to detect a backend straight line condition of the latter strip; and a control panel(60) determining whether the front and latter strips are the straight line condition or not in order to output.
