摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sintered compact which can improve product functions, e.g., in the improvement of the magnetic properties of a permanent magnet. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a sintered compact comprises: a step where a primarily sintered compact is obtained by liquid phase sintering, and thereafter, the primarily sintered compact is heated at a temperature lower than the sintering temperature in a vacuum atmosphere, thus an element having high vapor pressure in the liquid phase components is preferentially evaporated, and the volume ratio of the liquid phase is reduced or extinguished so as to obtain a secondarily sintered compact; and a step where the secondarily sintered compact is heated at a temperature lower than the sintering temperature in a vacuum atmosphere, further, a prescribed metal evaporation material is heated and evaporated in a vacuum atmosphere, the evaporated metal atoms are stuck to the surface of the secondarily sintered compact, and the stuck metal atoms are diffused into the crystal grain boundary phase of the secondarily sintered compact before a thin film composed of the metal evaporation material is formed on the surface of the secondarily sintered compact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
