By orderly controlling the engagement and disengagement of the clutch (4) and the meshing and separating of the first mesh sleeve (2) and the second mesh sleeve (3), the power of the input shaft (1) can be alternately transmitted to the odd number gear output shaft (5) or the even number gear output shaft (6), so that the up-shift or down-shift operation could be achieved. The gear shifting operation is achieved by the matching of one clutch (4) matched with the first mesh sleeve (2) or the second mesh sleeve (3). Therefore, the number of clutches in the prior art is reduced, the size of the transmission is reduced, meanwhile, the dragging resistance caused by the clutch of the prior transmission is lowered, the transmission efficiency is improved, and the production cost of the whole mechanical transmission is lowered.
