The present invention relates to a polyphase electrical household appliance (1) for use in a three-phase electric power system. The household appliance (1) comprises load circuits (2), a power source unit (3) which has an input means that includes four or five terminals for respectively connecting the protective earth line (PE), the neutral line (N) and two phase lines (L1, L2) or three phase lines (L1, L2, L3) of the mains and an output means for outputting electric power via a plurality of output lines (L1', L2', L3', N') to the load circuits (3). The household appliance (1) of the present invention comprises: a protection unit (4) which detects the relative phases of the lines that are connected to the terminals of said input means assigned to the phase lines (L1, L2, L3) of the mains, and controls said output means in accordance with the detection result. |
