The invention relates to a medical instrument comprising a hand-held integrated medical navigation system (12) that includes an optical capturing unit (24) encompassing a camera (26), the medical instrument further comprising a data processing unit (22) and an optical display unit (28); the data processing unit (22) is coupled to the capturing unit (24) and the display unit (28); position- and orientation-related data of a medical marking device (38, 40) that is captured by the capturing unit (24) can be processed by the data processing unit (22), and relevant information can be displayed on the display unit (28). The disclosed instrument (10) also comprises an illumination unit (34) by which light can be emitted in the direction of the marking device (38, 40) captured by the capturing unit (24). |
