METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING PROSE SERVICE CONTINUITY

The présent disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for supporting ProSe service continuity in base stations of a wireless communication network, wherein a first base station sends to a second base station a handover request message including reserved resource information allocated for a Transmitter UE; the second base station reserves the resources based on the reserved resource information and sends a réservation success message for indicating that the second base station has reserved the resources for the Transmitter UE; the first base station sends to the Transmitter UE a handover command for instructing the Transmitter UE to continue using current resources to transmit the ProSe service. The first base station may further send information of a first resource pool to the second base station; the second base station allocates a second resource pool based on the information of the first resource pool; and resources in the first resource pool and resources in the second resource pool are not completely the same. As a resuit, the ProSe service continuity may be maintained and the Receiver UE can continue receiving ProSe information during a handover process of the Transmitter UE to avoid service interruption.
