PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension substrate with a terminal part which is prevented from decaying.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a suspension substrate including: a metal supporting substrate; an insulating layer; an interconnection layer; an interconnection coating layer; and a cover layer in that order. The interconnection layer has a step part on a surface thereof near the cover layer, and a terminal part formed continuously with the step part and thinner than the other parts. Since the terminal part is separated from the cover layer by the step part, a surface of the cover layer near the interconnection layer is exposed and the lower end of the cover layer protrudes from the interconnection coating layer. The terminal part has, on a surface thereof, a terminal plating part of a single composition thick enough to cover the lower end of the cover layer, and the entire terminal plating part has the thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
