PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly detecting changes such as cracks or fouling on a soiled or uneven concrete surface through image processing, without fail, and to provide a change detection apparatus.SOLUTION: A change detection method and apparatus detect various changes in the course of the following steps: a step S1 of acquiring a captured image (original image) of a concrete surface; a step S2 of acquiring a pre-processed image obtained by removing fouling or unevenness from the original image; a step S3 of forming four layer images of level 1-4 when a compression rate has four stages due to gradual image compression; a step S5 of extracting corresponding changes from layer images according to an object to be extracted; and a step S13 of integrating all the layer images to display the detected changes all together. |
