PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having a power supply circuit including a rush current limit circuit capable of preventing burning of the rush current limit circuit and achieving minimum operations such as an error display according to a simple technique even when a relay comes into no action.SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: a rush current limit circuit connected with an AC power supply and having a rush current limit resistor and a temperature fuse; a rectifier circuit connected with the rush current limit circuit and converting AC into DC; and a power supply circuit including an inverter connected with the rectifier circuit to supply electric power to a load. The rush current limit circuit includes: a first circuit formed by connecting a rush current limit resistor in series to a temperature fuse; a second circuit connected in parallel to the first circuit and formed by connecting a relay contact in series to a current detection circuit, and reports or displays it to/on the outside if the current detection circuit does not detect a current even when a predetermined time elapses after the connection of power supply to the air conditioner or when the operation of the air conditioner is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
