<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the steering operation for avoiding a collision easily and quickly by setting the bigness of an auxiliary steering torque in response to the collision spare time upto the obstacle of frontside of an advance direction, relating to a power steering device. SOLUTION: The handle steering of a driver is assisted by calculating an auxiliary steering torque in response to the bigness of the steering torque at the handle steering time of the driver and also an object staying in the frontside of own vehicle is detected by a frontside object detection means 3 and the relative position of the object for the own vehicle is measured by a frontside object position measuring means 103 based on the detection information and the time spent until the own vehicle collides to the object is made to a spare time and calculated by a spare time calculation means 105 based on the measured relative position of the object and the time change of the relative position. A control gain for adjusting the bigness of the auxiliary steering torque in response to the spare time calculated by the spare time calculation means 105 is set by a control gain set means 109.</p> |
