In the method for dying textile fabrics disclosed, overheated (dry) steam is used for the purpose of evenly drying webs of fabric. Said steam is used instead of hot air after the application of colorant solutions and dispersions, whereby anti-migration measures are no longer required. Said method provides considerable qualitative and quantitative advantages in comparison with conventional methods used in textile fabrics and knitted fabrics consisting of natural, regenerated and fully synthetic fibers and mixtures thereof. Another part of the method disclosed relates to the utilization of overheated steam in drying with simultaneous thermal colorant fixation and/or thermal fabric fixation. |
