PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently deal with customers without using any largely scaled device. SOLUTION: This commodity sales data processor is provided with first and second input means(for example, keyboard 110, scanner 111 or the like) as data input means, and commodity sales information based on commodity data inputted by first input means 110a and 111a or the like and commodity sales information based on commodity data inputted by second input means 110b and 111b or the like are displayed at a display unit 120 for a customer having a liquid display panel so as to be divided into the right side display and the left side display so that the commodity sales data processing can be independently executed right and left (dual mode). When the data processing part is mode-set in the dual mode, the liquid crystal transmission of the liquid display panel of the display unit 120 for a customer is decreased, or the luminance of the back light of the liquid crystal display panel is decreased so that it is difficult to view the transaction information of an adjacent customer by narrowing the angle of viewing angle of the liquid crystal panel.
