<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor module that stably attains high coupling efficiency of light and uniformizes characteristics by relaxing mounting accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor module includes: a semiconductor chip 3 wherein a plurality of semiconductor elements 8 are integrated and mounted, and one end of an active area in the lengthwise direction in the respective semiconductor elements 8 is used as a light reception/emission section 10 and each of the light reception/emission sections 10 is formed on a different end face; a plurality of ferrules 5 that are provided with single-fiber cores 6 respectively and are arranged facing the respective end faces where the light reception/emission section 10 of the semiconductor chip 3 are formed; and a plurality of lens 7 provided among the semiconductor chip 3 and the respective ferrules 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
