PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system whereby a visitor can be confirmed without the need for provision of a monitor. SOLUTION: In the intercom system comprising a doorphone 10 including a call button 11 and an interphone master unit 20 for detecting a call from the doorphon 10 and making a speech via a speech circuit 22, the doorphone 10 includes a message output section 13 for outputting a message for to give the name of an operator when the call button 11 is operated, and the interphone master unit 20 includes: a call detection section 29 for detecting a call signal from the doorphone 10; and a one-side speech circuit 24 that is operated by the detectin of the call signal from the call detection section 29, attains one-way communication from the doorphone 10 to the intrephone master unit 20, and captures a voice signal outputted from the doorphone 10.
