PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling method of a ductile strip from a mold release sheet capable of always smoothly and properly peeling the ductile strip from the mold release sheet without causing deformation, breakage or the like in the ductile strip even if the tackiness of the ductile strip such as an unvulcanized rubber member or the like to the mold release sheet becomes large, and a apparatus used therein. SOLUTION: In peeling the ductile strip 7 lined with the mold release sheet 6 from the mold release sheet 6 against its tackiness to transfer the same, the mold release sheet 6 is separated from the transfer direction 8 of the ductile strip 7 at a leading end of a wedge member 1 to be allowed to run and the force in the peeling direction from the mold release sheet 6 and the force in the transfer direction of the ductile strip 7 are respectively allowed to act on the ductile strip 7 at the front side of the wedge member 1 under the slip of the brush roll 11 opposed to the ductile strip 7 to peel the ductile strip 7 from the mold release sheet 6 without stretching the ductile strip 7.
