FIELD: electrical engineering; lead storage batteries. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system is characterized in that cooling water is passed through internal ducts of battery binding posts. Internal duct of each binding post is made in the form of copper labyrinth passage with inlet cooling liquid duct A and outlet cooling liquid duct B, and is shielded by lead jacket to form labyrinth cooler. Sectional area ratio of inlet and outlet ducts is 1.2 : 1.0 which ensures constant pressure within duct and high cooling liquid flow velocity thereby maintaining desired constant temperature of electrolyte and enhancing service life of battery. ^ EFFECT: enhanced cooling efficiency and service life of battery. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
