A detachable cartridge and an image forming apparatus are provided to dispose a cartridge shutter and a buffer part in the same side, thereby buffering impact in the buffer part in the vicinity of the cartridge shutter. A detachable cartridge includes a buffer part(118y). The buffer part(118y) is deformed in contact with a non-contact part of a body of an image forming apparatus in the installation of the image forming apparatus and buffers an impact. The detachable cartridge is detached from the body of the image forming apparatus while recording an image on a recording sheet. The detachable cartridge includes a development agent vessel which receives a development agent, a handle part(113y) supported by the development agent vessel, the buffer part supported by the handle part, and a development agent cartridge detached from the image forming apparatus. |
