Method and device for recognising potentially dangerous objects for a vehicle

The method involves determining a traffic situation in a driving direction of a vehicle in a form of an image (10). A moved object e.g. indicated frame (6), in the images is determined, and a movement direction of the object in the image is determined. A further movement passage (11) of the vehicle is evaluated, where the evaluated movement passage and the image are superimposed. The object is determined as potentially endangered by an evaluation device, if the object is determined to be moved on one or two side edges (19) of the passage according to the determined movement direction. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting a potentially dangerous object for a vehicle.
