A bumper rubber of a shock absorber is provided to reduce a noise caused by friction between a cylinder and a cam when the bumper rubber is deformed by forming protrusions having different heights at a bottom surface of the bumper rubber. A bumper rubber of a shock absorber comprises a cylinder, a piston and a piston rod reciprocating in the cylinder to generate a damping force, and a bumper rubber(10) installed at the piston rod to prevent the cylinder from being collided with the vehicle body. A concave-convex portion is formed with a through hole(11) into which the piston rod is inserted. The bumper rubber is provided at the bottom surface thereof facing toward the cylinder with a plurality of protrusions having heights different from each other. The protrusions includes a first protrusion(13) having a higher height and a second protrusion(15) having a lower height than the first protrusion.
