METHOD FOR SETTING A STANDARD PROFILE FOR SLED MOTOR IN AN OPTICAL DISK DRIVING SYSTEM

A method for setting a standard profile value for a sled motor in an optical disk driving system is provided to improve the reproducing/recording efficiency of the optical disk driving system by preventing sled errors. A method for setting a standard profile value for a sled motor in an optical disk driving system comprises a step of setting a standard profile value for sled in the optical disk driving system; a second step of loading an optical disc on the optical disc driving system(S302); a third step of counting searching time while executing searching of a predetermined searching section of an optical disc area by driving a sled motor by using the standard profile value(S308); reducing the standard profile value and returning to the third step after setting the reduced standard profile value in the optical disc driving system if the counted searching time is larger than or equal to the pre-stored search time limit(S310); and storing the standard profile value in the optical disc driving system if the counted searching time is smaller than the pre-stored search time limit(S318).
