HOUSING THAT HOLDS BLADE, DEVELOPING DEVICE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, TOOL AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING BLADE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce dimensional accuracy dispersion resulting from the effect that members are overlaid on top of one another upon attaching a blade, and also, to reduce man-hours required for attaching the blade.

SOLUTION: The housing holds at least one of an image carrier that carries a toner image and a developer carrier that carries the developer, and also, holds the blade in contact with the image carrier or the developer carrier or in a position adjacent to the image carrier or the developer carrier. The blade is attached to the housing through the use of a blade attaching tool, the blade attaching position is defined by fitting a positioning hole formed in the blade to the positioning part of the blade attaching tool, and a clearance hole whose diameter is larger than the positioning hole of the blade is provided in a position corresponding to the positioning part of the blade attaching tool.
