PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloy, preferably a titanium alloy, or a cermet (ceramic alloy) having an improved purity.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method comprising the steps of: a) forming a feedstock composition comprising at least one powder, at least one platinum group metal and at least one binder; and b) forming the material by powder injection molding, where at least a proportion of the carbon and/or oxygen is catalytically removed by the at least one platinum group metal.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
