A reciprocating tool enabling reduction in vibration and improvement in cutting speed is provided. The reciprocating tool includes a main body 12, an electric motor 16 provided in the main body 12, a driving gear 19 provided in the electric motor 16, planetary gears 22 connected to the driving gear 19, a ring gear 27 connected to the planetary gears 22, a movement converting portion 49 converting rotation of the ring gear 27 into reciprocating movement, a blade 17 driven by the movement converting portion 49, and a balance weight 36 restricting vibration generated by the reciprocating movement. The ring gear 27 is rotated around a rotation center by power of the electric motor 16. |
