The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and apparatus for analyzing database performance degradation in order to analyze time and pattern of performance degradation. The method for analyzing database performance degradation according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the following steps: selecting a target object for predicting performance degradation, by using performance-related information of a database for over a predetermined period of time; creating a pattern analysis model for analyzing by period a point of time of performance degradation by time of the selected target object, by using the performance-related information of the database; analyzing performance of the target object by period by using the pattern analysis model; and analyzing a time section during which performance has been degraded to a predetermined level or lower, by using the performance of the target object analyzed by period.
