1. A method of improving behavioral performance in an individual, consisting essentially of:
providing an individual in need to improve behavioral performance, wherein the individual suffers from anxiety, autism, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a mental condition with some of the symptoms of ASD, anxiety, Fragile X, Rett syndrome, tuberous sclerosis, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorder, or schizophrenia, and administering to the individual a single composition comprising a single bacterial species, whereby the individual shows improved behavioral performance, and wherein the bacterial species is B. fragilis, B. thetaiotaomicron, or B. vulgatus. |
