1. A method of triggering a multi-player game in a gaming system having a credit input mechanism configured for player interaction to receive credit input associated with a monetary value for establishing a credit balance, the method comprising:
determining, in accord with having established the credit balance, a number of eligible gaming machines; communicating hit rate data based on the number of eligible gaming machines to the eligible gaming machines; determining at the eligible gaming machines whether to trigger the multi-player game at a hit rate based on the hit rate data; and triggering the multi-player game at each of the plurality of gaming machines in accord with determining that one or more of the eligible gaming machines has triggered the multi-player game. |
