Systems and methods are provided for generating isothermally enhanced images. An isothermally enhanced image may be an isothermally enhanced non-thermal image such as an isothermally enhanced visible light image. An isothermally enhanced visible light image may include a visible light image portion and a thermal image portion. The thermal image portion may be a portion of the image having temperature-related pixel values. The portion of the image may correspond to an image of an object or objects having temperatures within a particular temperature range. In this way, an isothermally enhanced visible light image may be provided that has visible light image resolution for scene and object identification and recognition and has temperature information for objects having temperatures of interest such as particularly hot objects or particularly cold objects. The temperature information in may be presented using colors each corresponding to isothermal portions of the image. |
