<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that is capable of stably discharging ink and high-speed printing without shortening the life of a recording head and an inkjet recording method using the device. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has a recording head composed of a plurality of members made of a metal and/or a resin and using an adhesive at least in one joint between members. Furthermore, the device uses an ink containing at least a coloring agent, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water. The glass transition point of the adhesive is 100 to 200°C. Of the water-soluble organic solvents, one having a dispersion force term of the smallest solubility parameter (SP value) is 15.8 to 17.1, and the content of the water-soluble organic solvent having a dispersion force term of the smallest solubility parameter in the ink is 2 to 10% by mass.
