PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a difference of rotor size by forming a shape of a pin boss part provided at a tip of a right and a left arms of a caliper raw material into a vertical elliptic shape, and adjusting a position for pin hole in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: In case of providing a pin hole in an elliptic pin boss part at the vertical center position and in the case where a radial direction position of a caliper 2 is set corresponding to a standard size rotor R1, the pin hole is provided at an upper position 12 of the vertical axis corresponding to a rotor R2 having a diameter smaller than that of the standard size rotor R1. On the other hand, the pin hole is provided at a lower position 13 of the vertical axis, a caliper is set a position corresponding to a rotor R3 having a diameter largest than that of the standard size rotor R1. In case of providing the pin hole in the elliptic pin boss part at the upper position of the vertical axis and in the case where the caliper 2 is positioned in the radial direction at a position corresponding to the standard size rotor R1, the pin hole is provided at the center position of the vertical axis so as to correspond to a rotor having a diameter a little larger than that of the standard size rotor R1 so as to cope with a change of the outer diameter of the rotor.
