PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an engine with stable combustion, the valve parts of whose two suction valves has no temperature difference and in which a prescribed air fuel ratio is obtained, in the engine having to intake ports branched from a single intake passage. SOLUTION: This engine has a pair of intake port 3a, 3b opening into a combustion chamber 1a, plural intake valves 4a, 4b for opening/closing these suction ports 3a, 3b, an intake passage 2 having branched passages 2b, 2c on the downstream side heading for respective intake ports 3a, 3b after branching from the main passage 2a on the upstream side and a single fuel injector 5 for jetting the fuel from the position on the downstream side rather than the branch point 2d of the branched passages 2b, 2c into a pair of branched passages 2b, 2c.
