PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventive hydrophilic member less apt to become cloudy, and be attached with water droplets and a soil while keeping a sufficient membrane hardness and a high endurance. SOLUTION: This hydrophilic member comprises a base material and a hydrophilic membrane containing at least a hydrophilic inorganic amorphous martial and hydrophilic metal oxide particles, and has a property that in a state of attaching water on the hydrophilic membrane and keeping the hydrophilic membrane perpendicularly for removing excess water, the weight of water membrane attached to the hydrophilic membrane is 0.23-0.50 g per 10 cm2.
