PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always hold high efficiency by decreasing generation of a hydraulic power loss even in increasing ratio of an outlet width of an impeller to an inlet width of a diffuser. SOLUTION: This pump combines an impeller 1 of impeller outlet width Bi smaller than diffuser inlet width Bd with a diffuser 2. In this case, for step differences ds, dh generated by the impeller outlet width Bi smaller than the diffuser inlet width Bd, a position of the impeller 1 relating to the diffuser 2 is placed so as to be displaced in an extended direction of a pump shaft 5 in a manner wherein ratio (dh/ds) of these step differences is larger than 1, for instance, 2 or more.
