PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the construction period of a large structure and to obtain a simplified system by fixing a weld line cover enclosing a weld line across adjacent ribs fixed to respective prefabricated parts by welding, and blasting hot air to perform local heat treatment. SOLUTION: A rib 10 having a rectangular cross section is fixed to the periphery of each prefabricated part by a fixing means such as welding. Then welding is performed along a weld line 6a formed at a joint 6 between the prefabricated parts 1a, 1b, to thereby combine the prefabricated parts 1a, 1b together along the weld line 6a. A weld line cover 13 having a circular arc cross section is fixed to the adjacent ribs 10 of the respective welded prefabricated parts 1a, 1b, by a welding means or the like. Thus, the weld line cover 13 is arranged over each weld line of the prefabricated parts to form a closed space 14 which hermetically seals the weld line, and then flames are blasted to the same by a gas burner, to thereby subject the welded portion 12 to a local heat treatment. Thus, heat treatment of the entire large structure 1 can be performed.
