PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the dangerousness of an overturn and the dangerousness of high-place works by shortening and compacting the length of a tower regarding a pile execution machine, in which a pipe is held while the revolving torque of a rotary driving source is transmitted and which is used when a pipe material is penetrated into a ground in construction works such as pile construction works, well boring, geological survey construction works or the like. SOLUTION: The pile driver is constituted, having at least a leader 1 supported and disposed in upright at the place of pile driving by the pile driver, a driving-section mounting member 6 brought to a freely vertically movable state by a lifting-lowering driving device 5 along the leader 1, and a driving device 7 for a pipe material fixed to the driving-section mounting member. The leader 1 is composed of an external cylinder 2 and a slidable internal cylinder 3 included in the external cylinder 2, either of the external cylinder 2 or the internal cylinder 3 is lifted and lowered together with the lifting- lowering movement of the driving-section mounting member 6, and the overall length of leader 1 is freely expanded and contracted.
