PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base frame fastener of a simple structure at low cost. SOLUTION: This base frame fastener 10 is formed by bending a straight metallic round bar and is provided with a first rod-shaped part 11 and a second rod-shaped part 12 arranged at right angles to each other. Within a plane containing the first rod-shaped part 11 and the second rod-shaped part 12, the end of the first-rod shaped part 11 is folded back toward the side where both rod-shaped parts are formed at right angles to each other, to provide a first fold 13. The first fold 13 is provided with a first gap 14 between itself and the first rod-shaped part 11. Within the plane containing the first rod-shaped part 11 and the second rod-shaped part 12, the second rod-shaped part 12 is folded back toward the side opposite to the side where both rod-shaped parts are formed at right angles to each other, to form a second fold 5. The second fold 15 is provided with a second gap between itself and the second rod-shaped part 12. Horizontally disposed lateral reinforcement 41 is inserted into the first gap 14 and a base frame 42 is inserted into the second gap.
