PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet guide device capable of reducing a carrying load in the confluent part of a paper sheet carrying path, and being installed in a limited space. SOLUTION: This paper sheet guide device is provided in the confluent part between first and second paper sheet carrying paths 70 and 72 for demarcating a curved paper sheet carrying path in the confluent part, and is equipped with a guiding member turnably fitted to a device frame, a torsion spring 66 fitted to the turning shaft of the guiding member to turn the guiding member in a direction for narrowing the curved paper sheet carrying path, and a stopper for ensuring the curved paper sheet carrying path having a given width against the urging force of the spring 66 by being fixed to the guiding member and abutting on the device frame. The spring 66 is constituted so as to have a sufficiently weak spring constant so that the collision of the pater sheet, carried on the curved paper sheet carrying path, with the guiding member can turn the guiding member against the energizing force of the spring 66, to expand the width of the downstream side of the curved paper sheet carrying path.
