PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tonneau cover structure forming a tonneau cover surface which has a require space and no height difference in both a roof developed/extended state and a roof stored state while securing a taking in/out space of the roof. SOLUTION: The tonneau cover has a three divided structure composing of a first cover member 12, a second cover member 13, and a third cover member 14. The tonneau cover is constituted so that the three kinds of shapes can be selected. In a first shape, the first cover member 12, the second cover member 13, and the third cover member 14 are together extended toward a trunk room 7 side. In the second shape, the first cover member 12 and the second cover member 13 are extended toward the trunk room 7 side, and the third member 14 is stored at the lower side of the second cover 13. In the third shape, the first cover member 12, the second cover member 13, and the third cover member 14 are together folded to the first cover member 12. According to the composition, in the first shape, the tonneau cover 11 has the widest developed/extended area which covers from a seat rear part to the front edge of a trunk lid 5 in the lid opening state. In the second shape, the tonneau cover 11 has a developed/extended area which covers from the seat rear part to the inner side of the lower end part of the roof 1 in the lid closing sate. In the third shape, a large taking in/out space of the roof is secured between the respective cover members 12 to 14 and the trunk lid 5 in the closing state. As the synergistic effect, the securement of the primary function of the tonneau cover 11 is compatible with the securement of the operability in taking the roof in/out the trunk room 7.
