PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording disk cartridge which prevents a recording disk medium from being taint-damaged as much as possible and is excellent in rigidity. SOLUTION: The recording disk cartridge is provided with; a base frame 10 having, at its side part, an aperture part C2 for accessing which nearly surrounds the outer side in the radius direction of a magnetic disk medium DM to make the magnetic disk medium DM face the outside; a lower plate 20 which constitutes the lower wall of a case and in which a center pore C3 for a chuck for connecting the spindle SP of a disk drive D with the magnetic disk medium DM is formed; an upper plate 30 which constitutes the upper wall of the case; a rotary shutter 40 which opens and closes the aperture at the side part; and a swing shutter 50 which is arranged on the under plate 20, engages with the rotary shutter 40 to swing in response to the rotational operation of the rotary shutter 40, and opens and closes the center pore C3 for the chuck.
