PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of a shaft sealing device by protecting the bearing surface of a seal ring in a rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: Since the outside bearing and the inside bearing of a seal ring 2 for forming an oil film between the seal ring 2 and the rotating shaft 1 of a rotary electric machine are composed of fluororesin 2e, 2f exhibiting high heat insulation effect in place of bearing metal, the quantity of heat flowing into the seal ring 2 decreases extremely and thereby thermal deformation of the seal ring 2 can be suppressed. Consequently, long period oscillation of the seal ring 2 is suppressed, the bearing surface can be protected against damage and reliability of a shaft sealing device for the rotating shaft 1 can be enhanced.
