PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a binding sewing machine which can operate more efficiently. SOLUTION: In the binding sewing machine 10, a body cloth M and a binding cloth N are pressed held pressed and supported onto a placing surface in cooperation of a binder 30 (air cylinder 35) and a fold-in plates 61 (fold-in cylinders 62), and a control means 100 performs control for making the timings of respective operation completion of the binder 30 and the fold-in plates 61 coincident so that the fold-in plates 61 of a fold-in device 60 may reach a fold-in position of the binding cloth N just after the binder 30 reaches a cloth-pressing height for pressing and supporting the cloth by adjusting the timing of respectively starting operation of the binder 30 and the fold-in plates 61 in the case of folding the binding cloth N back on the body cloth M.
