PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for a rotating electric machine which can efficiently cool a rotor, and a motor-driven turbocharger including this structure. SOLUTION: The cooling structure of the rotating electric machine is provided with a rotor 310 having internal spaces 317. Holes 315 for communicating the internal spaces 317 to the outside of the rotor 310 are formed on the rotor 310. In this case, when the rotation speed of the rotor 310 is relatively high, the air in the internal spaces 317 is discharged from the holes 315 to the outside of the rotor 310, and when it is relatively low, the outside air of the rotor 310 is supplied into the internal spaces 317 via the holes 315.
