<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid body imaging device with high resistance to noise, which can calculate distance information with high accuracy and efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The solid body imaging device includes an imaging unit 110 which includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements 111 arranged into a matrix form in a region having a first imaging region and a second imaging region; a first light inlet unit which guides and introduces light into the first imaging region 115; a second light inlet unit provided apart from the first light inlet unit, which guides and introduces light into the second imaging region; an output unit 114, which converts signal charge, that has been converted photoelectrically by the first imaging region 115, into a voltage or a current and outputs the converted voltage or current as a first video signal; and converts signal charge, which has been photoelectrically converted by the second imaging region 116, into a voltage or a current and outputs the converted voltage or current as a second video signal; and a calculation unit 120, which calculates information related to the distance to an object 160 by using the first video signal and the second video signal, wherein the imaging unit 110, the output unit 114 and the calculation unit 120 are formed on the same semiconductor substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
