<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane with preferable adhesion to an electrode, causing no proton conductivity lowering, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This electrolyte membrane containing a graft polymer having a sulfonic acid group as a proton conductive group is divided into four equal parts in its thickness direction, the content of the sulfonic acid group in each external region is more than the content of the sulfonic acid group in the internal region. When the maximum values of the distributed amount of the sulfonic acid group in two external regions are defined as A1 and A2 respectively, and the average value of the maximum value and the minimum value of the distributed amount of the sulfonic acid group in two internal regions, are defined as B1 and B2 respectively, the following expresion, 1.5≤(A1+A2)/(B1+B2)≤8, is satisfied, and the ion exchange capacity of the electrolyte membrane is 0.5-2meq/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
