<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen-producing apparatus easily controlling a required hydrogen-producing rate by a simple method, and to provide a power generation system using such a hydrogen-producing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: According to the hydrogen-producing apparatus of the present invention, a band or a strap of a hydrogen-producing source-supplying material having a layer containing a hydrogen-producing source is moved by a moving means in the longitudinal direction with the layer containing the hydrogen-producing source being immersed in or being in contact with a liquid stored in a reaction chamber, so that hydrogen is produced by a decomposition reaction of the hydrogen-producing source by such a liquid. Since the hydrogen-producing rate (the amount of hydrogen produced per unit time) can be increased or decreased by increasing or decreasing the moving speed of the hydrogen-producing source-supplying material by the moving means, it is possible to responsively follow the fluctuation of hydrogen requirements from an apparatus using hydrogen (for example, a fuel cell). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
