A method for setting an input signal for controlling a scanner and a scanning display apparatus using the same are provided to prevent blurring and color mismatch on a screen, thereby improving image quality. A scanner for compensating linearity of a driving angle is selected. The relation of the driving angle to an input signal about the scanner is measured by using an output measurement apparatus to calculate a driving feature function(S50,S51). An inverse function of the driving feature function is calculated(S52). An index of an input signal corresponding to a predetermined node in a display screen is determined based on the inverse function(S53). An input signal reference table about the relation between the node and the index is generated(S54).
